We’re excited to welcome Ron Schultz, a seasoned author, editor, and creative force whose work spans nonfiction, fiction, television, and film.
Ron has written, co-written, and edited over 30 published books covering topics like social innovation, entrepreneurship, science, meditation, and complexity. His book Creating Good Work (Palgrave Macmillan, 2013) showcases insights from leading social entrepreneurs, while The Complex Buddhist (Emergent Publications, 2015) explores how to do good in a complicated world. His titles also include Open Boundaries (Perseus Books, 1998; reissued by Emergent Publications in 2023) and Unconventional Wisdom (HarperCollins, 1994), which highlights how intuition can shape better decisions.

Beyond nonfiction, Ron is also a novelist. He’s the author of two thriller series: The Dorje Shapiro Investigations and The Dangerous Places series (co-written with Sarah Lovett), which begins with Metal Viper. His storytelling extends to hundreds of magazine articles and a long career in television and film. His credits include The Switch (CBS, 1991), praised as one of the finest Movies of the Week, and NightRaiders, a cult favorite. He also wrote early episodes of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and served as a staff writer on the animated series ZORRO.
Ron has spoken at major forums including the Skoll World Forum, the Social Enterprise World Forum, and the World CSR Congress. He’s lectured at institutions such as Oxford University, MIT, UCLA, Trinity College Dublin, and the Academy of Management’s National Conference.
We’re honored to have Ron join our creative circle. His experience, curiosity, and commitment to meaningful storytelling make him a valuable addition to our community.
