Why February Is the Perfect Month to Celebrate Our Library Partners
February is Library Lovers’ Month, and around here, that feels like a celebration made just for us. Indies United has always believed that stories belong everywhere, in homes, in hearts, and especially on library shelves where anyone can discover them. That’s why we’re so proud to have many of our titles included in the Indie Author Project, and why we encourage our authors to submit their work.
Through the IAP, libraries across the country can add one free copy of every participating IU ebook to their digital collections. No hoops. No fees. Just access, the way stories were meant to move through the world.
For indie authors, this is more than visibility. It’s legitimacy. It’s connection. It’s the chance to reach readers who may never have found them otherwise. And for libraries, it’s a way to expand their offerings with fresh voices, diverse perspectives, and books that don’t always get space in traditional publishing channels.
This month, we’re shining a light on the IU titles enrolled in the program, mysteries, memoirs, thrillers, poetry, fantasy, and more, all waiting to be discovered by readers who love stumbling across something new and unexpected.
If you’d like to explore the full list of IU books available through the Indie Author Project, you can find them HERE
Libraries have always been champions of community, literacy, and access. We’re proud to stand with them, proud to support their mission, and proud to see our authors’ work finding new homes on digital shelves across the country.
Here’s to the libraries who love indies, and to the indies who love them right back.
