Our 8th Anniversary

A Celebration of Stories, Strength, and the Beautiful Chaos of Indies United

Tomorrow, August 12th, marks eight years since I opened the doors of Indies United Publishing House. Eight years since I said, “Let’s build something different. Let’s build something together.” And somehow, through every twist, turn, triumph, and tear, we did exactly that.

Eight years. Over 250 books under our imprint. Dozens upon dozens of authors who trusted us with their stories. A community that grew from a tiny spark into a full‑blown constellation.

IUPH has never been just a publishing house. It’s been a home, sometimes a loud one, sometimes a chaotic one, sometimes a heartbreakingly quiet one, but always a home.

The Joy of Writing, the Joy of Welcoming

Every year, new authors walk through our doors with trembling hands and hopeful hearts. Some arrive with polished manuscripts, others with a messy draft and a dream, and when accepted, we share their joy when they becomes part of our story.

We’ve watched writers grow from nervous first‑timers into confident storytellers. We’ve celebrated debut releases, series launches, award nominations, and personal victories that had nothing to do with sales and everything to do with courage.

And the best part? We’re still welcoming more. The family keeps expanding, and the shelves keep filling.

The Books That Built Us

Over 250 books now carry the Indies United imprint: thrillers, romances, memoirs, poetry, fantasy, nonfiction, children’s stories, and everything in between. Each one is a brick in the foundation we’ve built together.

Some books made us laugh.

Some made us cry.

Some made us rethink the world.

All of them made us proud.

The Authors We’ve Lost

Anniversaries are joyful, but they’re also reflective.

Over the years, we’ve said goodbye to a few of our authors, Robert, Ralph, June, and Richard, people whose voices helped shape our shelves and whose spirits shaped our community. Their stories remain with us, their names remain with us, and their impact remains woven into the fabric of Indies United.

We carry them forward.

We honor them.

We remember them.

Building New Worlds — Literally

This past year, we stepped into something bold and strange and wonderful: the VR world.

We’ve built a digital space where readers can walk through our shelves, explore themed rooms, meet characters, and discover books in ways that feel magical. It’s still growing, still evolving, still glitching occasionally (because of course it is), but it’s ours, a new frontier for our authors and our readers. And it’s only the beginning.

Finding New Paths to Reach Readers

We’ve never been afraid to experiment. From social media kits to video content, from themed promotions to interactive tools, from mood panels to VR galleries... every year we find new ways to help our authors shine.

We’re not just keeping up with the publishing world. We’re building our own lane.

And the future? Oh, it’s bright.

Chaotic, but bright.

Eight Years Later…

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: You never know how your life is going to turn out… especially when the odds are already against you. But here we are. Eight years strong. Still growing. Still welcoming. Still dreaming. Still telling stories.

The chaos continues.

But so do we.

Happy Anniversary, Indies United and to all our authors.

Here’s to the next chapter and all the beautiful madness it will bring.
