After his little brother goes missing, Garrison, with the help of his friend Annalise search the woods around his house, only to discover a tear in the veil of reality, leading them to that place between heaven and hell, The Great Beyond.

 

In England, Jakob seeks the help of Aleister Crowley to help rid his sister of the demon possessing her. The two take her to a house on Loch Ness, where Crowley opens the gates to hell and Jakob battles the demon. He battle costs Jakob his eye, forever making him and the monocle he wears an instrument of the afterlife.

 

Reynolds, currently under suspension, receives a call one night from his brother Ben about a missing boy. Reynolds offers his help and journeys back to his hometown, where, during a freak snowstorm an accident halts his progress. After trudging through the snow, he comes upon a farmhouse, and within it, a portal which leads to The Great Beyond.

 

There, all characters meet in a fight to help the children get back home, while trying to solve the riddle of who exactly, possesses the magic required to tear reality’s veil in the first place.
