Dr. Shadee Giurgius, M.D. is planning a career in adult and geriatric psychiatry. He fell in love with helping older people, especially those with Alzheimer's disease, while working with his father who is a geriatric psychiatrist. He went to UCLA for his undergraduate career and then attended medical school at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He co-founded the Youth Movement Against Alzheimer's with his best friends in 2004 while at UCLA. He lives in Los Angeles with his family.
Proceeds of his upcoming book, When I Grow Up I Want To Be Old will go to Alzheimer's research.
